15-Minute Pizza Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Italian sausage
  • ½ onion diced
  • 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • ½ tsp. basil
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 6-8 sandwich buns
  • 6-8 slices mozzarella or provolone cheese

Instructions

  • Brown the sausage and onion together in a pan. 
  • Drain and rinse the meat with hot water to remove grease.
  • Return to pan and add tomato sauce and seasonings.
  • Heat thoroughly.
  • Scoop sloppy joe sauce over bottom bun, top with cheese slice, top bun and serve.
