- 1 lb. Italian sausage
- ½ onion diced
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. oregano
- ½ tsp. basil
- salt & pepper to taste
- 6-8 sandwich buns
- 6-8 slices mozzarella or provolone cheese
Brown the sausage and onion together in a pan.
Drain and rinse the meat with hot water to remove grease.
Return to pan and add tomato sauce and seasonings.
Heat thoroughly.
Scoop sloppy joe sauce over bottom bun, top with cheese slice, top bun and serve.
