15-Minute Skillet Chicken and Dressing

- ¾ cup milk
- ½ 10 oz. can cream of chicken soup can
- ½ cup frozen vegetables optional
- 1-1½ cups cooked chicken chopped
- 1½ Tbs. butter melted
- ⅔ cup chicken broth
- ½ 6 oz. box cornbread stuffing mix
Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup:
- 2 Tbs. butter
- 2 Tbs. flour
- 6 Tbs. milk
- 6 Tbs. chicken broth
Stir milk and soup together.
Pour into skillet and heat over medium heat.
Add frozen vegetables and chicken to skillet.
Heat thoroughly.
While that heats, stir butter, broth and dressing mix together.
When skillet is hot and bubbly, top with dressing mix.
Pop under the broiler in the oven for 3-5 minutes, till it begins to brown.
Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup
Melt butter in a pan.
Whisk in flour and cook, whisking constantly, for a minute or two until golden.
Slowly whisk in milk and broth and bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
Use this in place of the ½ can of cream of chicken soup in the recipe.
