Baked Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • cup maple syrup
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Toss together oats, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a bowl. 
  • In another bowl, whisk together the syrup, milk, egg and vanilla.
  • Spread the oat mixture into a greased 8 x 8 pan.
  • Pour milk mixture evenly over.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until set.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

Notes: This can be made ahead and reheated in the microwave. To freeze, wrap serving-size pieces in plastic wrap and place in a ziplock bag. Thaw in refrigerator overnight.
