Baked Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbs. maple syrup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 small egg lightly beaten
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Toss together oats, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the syrup, milk, egg and vanilla.
  • Spread the oat mixture into a greased 8 x 8 pan. Pour milk mixture evenly over.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until set. Serve warm.

Notes

Notes: This can be made ahead and reheated in the microwave. To freeze, wrap serving-size pieces in plastic wrap and place in a ziplock bag. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
