Whole Herb-Roasted Chicken in the Crockpot

Ingredients

  • 1 small whole chicken
  • 1 small onion thinly sliced
  • 4 Tbs. butter softened
  • 1 Tbs. fresh parsley minced
  • ½ Tbs. fresh thyme minced
  • ½ Tbs. fresh sage minced

Instructions

  • Clean the chicken and remove the giblets from the insides.
  • Place the onions on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Mix together the butter and herbs and rub all over the chicken.
  • Place the chicken in the slow cooker on top of the onions.
  • Cook on high for 5-6 hours or low for 7-9 hours.
