Brownie a la Mode with Wild Berry Sauce

Ingredients

For the Brownies:

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • cup cocoa
  • 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • ½ gallon vanilla ice cream

For the Wild Berry Sauce:

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 16 oz. mixed berries frozen, thawed

Instructions

For the Brownies:

  • Grease a 9×13 pan.
  • In a large bowl, melt the butter.
  • Stir in the sugar, eggs and vanilla with a spoon.
  • Add the cocoa, flour, salt and baking powder.
  • Stir until well combined.
  • Pour the batter into the pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream and Wild Berry Sauce

For the Wild Berry Sauce

  • Stir sugar and cornstarch together.
  • Place berries in small saucepan with sugar and cornstarch.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until a syrup forms and comes to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and cool to room temperature or barely warm.
  • Serve berries over brownies and ice cream.
