Brownie a la Mode with Wild Berry Sauce

For the Brownies:
- 2 sticks butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- ⅔ cup cocoa
- 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. baking powder
- ½ gallon vanilla ice cream
For the Wild Berry Sauce:
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- 16 oz. mixed berries frozen, thawed
For the Brownies:
Grease a 9×13 pan.
In a large bowl, melt the butter.
Stir in the sugar, eggs and vanilla with a spoon.
Add the cocoa, flour, salt and baking powder.
Stir until well combined.
Pour the batter into the pan.
Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes.
Serve with vanilla ice cream and Wild Berry Sauce
For the Wild Berry Sauce
Stir sugar and cornstarch together.
Place berries in small saucepan with sugar and cornstarch.
Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until a syrup forms and comes to a boil.
Remove from heat and cool to room temperature or barely warm.
Serve berries over brownies and ice cream.
