Steak Burgers with Red Wine Onions

For steakburgers:
- 1¼ lbs. ground beef
- 1-2 eggs
- ½ cup Italian bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. lemon pepper seasoning
- ½ tsp. seasoned salt
- ⅛ tsp. liquid smoke
- 3-4 whole-wheat sandwich buns
For red wine onions:
- ½ onion chopped or sliced
- 1-2 cloves garlic crushed
- ½ cup red wine
For steakburgers:
Combine all the burger ingredients until well blended.
Pat out burgers.
Cook on the grill, an indoor grill or in a skillet.
Cook the onion and garlic till soft, using the same skillet you used to cook the burgers if cooked in a skillet.
For red wine onions:
Pour in about a cup or so of red wine and cook over medium heat, till the wine reduces.
Serve the onions over the burgers.
