For meatballs and pasta:
- 12 oz. penne pasta
- 2 lbs. frozen meatballs or use homemade
- 1 onion diced
- 2 Tbs. vegetable oil
- 15 oz. diced tomatoes canned
- 10 oz. diced tomatoes and green chilies canned
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 1 oz. ranch dressing mix
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
For homemade meatballs:
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 2 eggs
- 1 large onion
- ⅔ cup plain breadcrumbs
For meatballs and pasta:
In the slow cooker, mix together the onion, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and ranch dressing mix.
Stir in meatballs
Cook on high for 4-5 hours or on low for 6-8 hours.
Serve over penne, topped with cheese.
For homemade meatballs:
Mix together the ground beef, egg, shredded onion and breadcrumbs.
Roll ground beef mixture into 1-1½ inch balls.
