- 2 -3 lbs. boneless chicken tenders
- 8 oz. can salsa verde
- 2 Tbs. taco seasoning equivalent of 1 package*
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 6-8 tortillas
- ½-1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
For the homemade taco seasoning:
- 3 Tbs. chili powder
- 1½ tsp. garlic powder
- ¾ tsp. onion powder
- ¾ tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- ¾ tsp. dried oregano
- 1½ tsp. paprika
- 1½ Tbs. ground cumin
- 1 Tbs. salt
- 1½ tsp. black pepper
For homemade taco seasoning:
For the tacos:
Place chicken in the slow cooker.
Stir remaining ingredients, except tortillas and cheese, together and pour over chicken.
Cook on high for 5-6 hours or on low for 7-8 hours.
Shred the meat and serve in tortillas, topped with cheese.
