Instant Pot Sloppy Chicken Tacos

Ingredients

  • 2 -3 lbs. boneless chicken tenders
  • 8 oz. salsa verde
  • 2 Tbs. taco seasoning the equivalent of 1 package, or use homemade
  • 15 oz. tomato sauce
  • 12-16 tortillas
  • 1-2 cups cheddar cheese shredded

For the homemade taco seasoning:

  • 3 Tbs. chili powder
  • tsp. garlic powder
  • ¾ tsp. onion powder
  • ¾ tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • ¾ tsp. dried oregano
  • tsp. paprika
  • Tbs. ground cumin
  • 1 Tbs. salt
  • tsp. black pepper

Instructions

For the homemade taco seasoning:

  • Mix ingredients together thoroughly. Divide into three baggies. This makes the equivalent of 3 commercial-sized packages.

For the tacos:

  • Combine chicken, green chilies, taco seasoning and tomato sauce in the pressure cooker pot.
  • Set cook time for 15 minutes.
  • Do a quick pressure release.
  • Shred chicken and serve in tortillas.
