Ingredients

  • 1 lb. collard greens washed and chopped
  • 4 bacon slices chopped
  • 1 Tbs. salt
  • 1 Tbs. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbs. onion powder
  • 1 Tbs. white sugar
  • 1 pinch red pepper

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a stock pot and add enough water to cover the greens mixture completely.
  • Bring the water to a boil, reduce heat to low, and cook at a simmer until the greens are tender, about 2 hours.
