- ½ lb. collard greens washed and chopped
- 2 bacon slices chopped
- ½ Tbs. salt
- ½ Tbs. garlic powder
- ½ Tbs. onion powder
- ½ Tbs. white sugar
- 1 pinch red pepper
Combine all ingredients in a stock pot and add enough water to cover the greens mixture completely.
Bring the water to a boil, reduce heat to low, and cook at a simmer until the greens are tender, about 2 hours.
