Slow Cooker Honey Mustard Chicken Legs

Ingredients

  • lbs. chicken legs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • oil for frying
  • ¼ cup spicy deli mustard
  • 1" piece of fresh ginger peeled
  • 1 Tbs. hot sauce
  • 1 Tbs. soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • Tbs. honey

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan to shimmering.
  • Season the legs with salt and pepper and cook them until browned.
  • Transfer to the slow cooker.
  • Add all sauce ingredients to the hot skillet and bring to a boil.
  • Remove the ginger and pour the sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  • You can also skip browning, if desired, and just mix the sauce ingredients together and pour over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  • Cook on high for 4-5 hours or on low for 7-8 hours.
