Grilled BBQ Pepper Jack Chicken

Ingredients

For the chicken:

  • 3-4 boneless chicken breasts
  • tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce or use homemade sauce
  • 3-4 slices pepper jack cheese

For the homemade bbq sauce:

  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbs. yellow mustard
  • 2 Tbs. honey or brown sugar
  • salt to taste, optional

Instructions

For the chicken:

  • If the chicken breasts are frozen, go ahead and put them on the hot grill. Let them thaw a bit and then sprinkle them with seasoned salt. If they’re already thawed you can add the seasoned salt before you put them on the grill.
  • Cook them until they are nearly done, then baste with barbecue sauce.
  • Top each chicken breast with a slice of cheese, letting it melt before removing the chicken from the grill.

For the homemade bbq sauce:

  • Combine all ingredients and store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.
