Instant Pot Apple Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 2 cups apple juice
  • 2 cups water
  • cup brown sugar or less according to your tastes
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 dash nutmeg
  • 1 small apple peeled and finely diced

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in the pressure cooker pot.
  • Set cook time to 5 minutes for chewier oats, 7 minutes for creamier oats.
  • Do a natural pressure release.
  • Serve with milk.

Notes

Notes: If you want to cook your oatmeal overnight but your slow cooker doesn’t have a delay function, you can plug it in to a timer – like you would use to automatically turn on holiday lights – to make it kick on during the night.
