Red Wine Pasta Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbs. olive oil
  • ½ onion diced
  • 1-2 cloves garlic crushed
  • ¼ cup red wine
  • 15 oz. can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • ½ tsp. thyme
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a skillet, cook onion and garlic till onion is tender.
  • Pour in wine and cook several minutes, till reduced by half.
  • Stir in crushed tomatoes and seasonings.
  • Continue to cook over medium heat while pasta finishes.
