Pizza Bowties with Italian Sausage

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Italian sausage
  • 1 lb. bowtie pasta
  • 2 15 oz. cans fire-roasted tomatoes lightly drained
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • ½ cup mozzarella shredded
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to the package directions.
  • Brown the sausage with the onion, garlic and green pepper, drain and rinse under hot water. 
  • Put the meat back in the skillet and add the tomatoes and seasonings.
  • When the pasta is cooked and drained, mix it with the sauce and cheese.
