Pizza Steak Sandwiches in the Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • ¾ lbs. round steak skirt steak or other cut
  • 3 oz. pepperoni or turkey pepperoni
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 14 oz. can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • ½ tsp. basil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4-5 buns
  • 4-5 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  • Place meat in slow cooker.
  • Stir other ingredients together, except cheese and buns, and pour over meat.
  • Cook on high 5-6 hours or low 7-8 hours.
  • Shred the meat with a fork and serve on buns topped with cheese slices.
