- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 small green pepper chopped
- 1 stalk celery chopped
- 2 15 oz. cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 15 oz. cans diced tomatoes
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 Tbs. chili powder
- 1 Tbs. sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup red wine
Brown the meat, onion, garlic and celery together and cook on sauté setting until the meat is done.
Drain the grease, rinse under hot water and put it back in the pot.
Add remaining ingredients to the pot. Seal the lid and set the cook time for 15 minutes, followed by a quick release, and serve.
