Instant Pot Italian Sausage Pasta Sauce over Spaghetti Squash

Ingredients

  • ¾ lb. sweet Italian sausage links
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2-3 cloves garlic crushed
  • 14 oz. can crushed tomatoes
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • tsp. oregano
  • tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 spaghetti squash cooked and scraped out

Instructions

  • Hit the sauté button and add the sausage links.
  • Once brown, add ¼ cup water, and continue to cook for 5 minutes.
  • Remove sausage and slice into rounds.
  • Add peppers, onions, and garlic to the pressure cooker pot.
  • Return sausage to the pot.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients except the spaghetti squash.
  • Cover and set the cook time for 20 minutes, followed by a quick release.
  • Serve sauce over spaghetti squash.
